Amigurumi Cute Cat Free Pattern

This description includes a full description of the knitting process of the toy, intermediate photo details, a description of the dress and the rim (crocheted).

The toy is knitted in a spiral, semi-crosses (unless otherwise indicated), from the bottom up. The upper legs and tail are knitted, the head and ears are sewn on.

When using these materials, the height of the finished toy is about 18-20 cm.

* To mark the beginning of the row, use a special marker or thread in a contrasting color.

* The description does not contain crochet tutorials and is intended for those who have basic crochet skills.

Required materials and tools:

1. Hook suitable for your yarn.

2. YarnArt JEANS yarn of any color of your choice for the body.

3. For the ears and tail, you can take any textured yarn of a suitable or contrasting color. I knitted ears and a tail from Camtex cottongrass and from YarnArt JEANS. You can use Alize Softy, Adelia Sofia, etc.

4. Filler.

5. Eyes on a secure mount (I use 8 or 9 mm) or sewn on, (beads, half beads – your choice)

6. A little black thread for embroidering the muzzle.

7. Stitching needle, scissors, pins, knitting marker.

EARS (2 parts)

From textured yarn:

Knit in turning rows, single crochet.

In 2.3 rows, increases are made on the sides (on each side, in the first and last loops):

We collect a chain of 3 ch + 1 ch lifting loop, turn

1 row: 3 sc, 1 ch, turn

2 row: 5 sc, 1 ch, turn

3 row: 7 sc, 1 ch, turn

If you want longer lugs, work another row of 7 sc. Leave the thread for sewing.

From YarnArt Jeans:

1 row: 6 sc in MR

2 row: (1 sc, inc) * 3 = 9

3 row: (2 sc, inc) * 3 = 12

4 row: (3 sc, inc) * 3 = 15

5 row: (4 sc, inc) * 3 = 18

Fold in half and knit together, for both walls 9 sc

UPPER LEGS 2 parts

We fill lightly, only the lower part

1 row: 6 sc in MR

2 row: 6 inc. = 12

3 row: (1 sc, inc) * 6 = 18

4-6 rows: 18 sc

7 row: 3 sc, 6 dec, 3 sc = 12

8-20 rows: 12 sc

Fold in half and knit together, for both walls 6 sc

TAIL

We stuff very weakly in the process of knitting. (The tail of textured yarn I crochet 2.5 mm)

From textured yarn:

1 row: 6 sc in MR

2 row: 6 inc. = 12

3-27 rows: 12 sc

Fold in half and knit together, for both walls 6 sc

From YarnArt Jeans:

1 row: 6 sc in MR

2 row: 6 inc. = 12

3-33 rows: 12 sc

Fold in half and knit together, for both walls 6 sc

HEAD

Eyes are installed between the 18th and 19th rows. Between eyes 11 sc.

1 row: 6 sc in MR

2 row: 6 inc = 12

3 row: (1 sc, inc) * 6 = 18

4 row: (2 sc, inc) * 6 = 24

5 row: (3 sc, inc) * 6 = 30

6 row: (4 sc, inc) * 6 = 36

7 row: (5 sc, inc) * 6 = 42

8 row: (6 sc, inc) * 6 = 48

9 row: (7 sc, inc) * 6 = 54

10 row: (8 sc, inc) * 6 = 60

11 row: (9 sc, inc) * 6 = 66

12-22 rows: = 66 sc

23 row: (9 sc, dec) * 6 = 60

24 row: (8 sc, dec) * 6 = 54

25 row: (7 sc, dec) * 6 = 48

26 row: (6 sc, dec) * 6 = 42

27 row: (5 sc, dec) * 6 = 36

28 row: (4 sc, dec) * 6 = 30

29 row: (3 sc, dec) * 6 = 24

30 row: (2 sc, dec) * 6 = 18

Stuff tightly, leave the thread for sewing

LEGS, BODY.

We stuff tightly, in the course of knitting. Let’s start with the paws:

1 row: 6 sc in MR

2nd row: 6 inc

3 row: (1 sc, inc) * 6 = 18

4 row: (2 sc, inc) * 6 = 24

5-7 rows: 24 sc

8 row: 6 sc, 6 dec, 6 sc = 18

9 row: 6 sc, 3 dec, 6 sc = 15

10-19 rows: 15 sc

At the first foot, knit the last column with a connecting one, fasten and cut the thread.

On the second foot, knit an additional few sc to connect both in parallel.

If you want clubfoot paws, connect them by turning the decreases on the feet towards each other. Determine the degree of “clubfoot” to your taste.

Do not cut the thread, continue knitting.

6 air loops, attach the second paw.

20 row: 15 sc on one leg, 6 sc on a chain of air loops, 15 sc on the second leg, 6 sc on a chain = 42 sc

21 row: 42 sc

22 row: (6 sc, inc) * 6 = 48

23-29 rows: 48 sc

We knit the tail in the 27th row.

30 row: (6 sc, dec) * 6 = 42

31-33 rows: 42 sc

34 row: (5 sc, dec) * 6 = 36

35-37 rows: 36 sc

38 row: (4 sc, dec) * 6 = 30

39-48 rows: 30 sc

In the 47th row we knit the upper paws. The paws are knitted parallel to the lower ones (6 sc with paws, 9 sc between them). Make sure that the notches on the legs are located in front.

49 row: (3 sc, dec) * 6 = 24

50 row: (2 sc, dec) * 6 = 18

51 row: 18 sc

We cut the thread, leaving a length for sewing.

If desired, after sewing on the head, you can make tightenings. In the picture, the points of entry and exit of the needle are approximately marked.

I insert the needle at point 1, withdraw it at point 2, insert it at point 3, withdraw it at point 1 (through 1 column to the back of the head). I tighten, I control that the thread goes under the eye. I tie tightly. For reliability, the knot is carefully smeared with glue. I hide the ends of the thread inside the head.

DRESS

We knit in rotary rows, not tight.

Dial a chain of 24

ch+1 ch to go up

1 row: 24 sc; ch for lift, turn

2 row: (3 sc, inc) * 6 = 30; ch for lift, turn

3 row: inc, 3 sc, skip 6 sc, above them we knit a chain of 6 ch, 10 sc, skip 6 sc, above them we knit a chain of 6 ch, 3 sc, inc. = 32; ch for lift, turn

4th row: 4 sc, inc, 6 sc in a chain of ch, inc, 8 sc, inc, 6 sc in a chain of ch, inc, 4 sc = 36; ch for lift, turn

5-7 rows: 36 sc

We begin to knit a skirt.

8 row: 2 ch to rise, 1 dc in the first loop, then 2 dc in each loop = 72 dc; 2 ch to lift, turn

9 row: in the first loop 1 dc, then also, 2 dc in each loop = 144 dc; 2 ch to lift, turn

10 row: 144 dc

11 row: we close the skirt sl-st, then we will knit in a circle; 2 ch lift, 143 dc

12-15 rows: 2 ch to raise, 143 dc

16 row: 1 ch to lift, 143 sc.

Try it on. If you do not add a tulle skirt to the outfit, or there is not enough length for your taste, knit 1-2 more rows of dc.

Instead of sc, the hem of the skirt can be tied with a “crustacean step”, or made openwork. Everything depends on your desire.

For the underskirt, I take about 100-120 cm of tulle 15 cm wide, fold it in half lengthwise and collect it on a colorless elastic band (I insert the elastic band into the needle). I tie the ends of the elastic with a tailor’s knot and cut off the excess ends.

RIM

The headband was knitted in turning rows of 5 sc for the back half loops. Having knitted to the desired length, she closed it in a ring. The junction was closed with roses.

For the big rose cast on 12 ch, chain back 3 dc in each st.

For a small rose cast on 10 ch, chain back 3sc in each st. The flowers were folded, sewn with a needle and attached to the rim.

Your cat is ready. Based on this simple description, you can create a variety of images, choosing unusual colors, different textures, yarn composition, etc.

And if you tie long ears, you get a cute bunny.
