THE CAT PATTERN

ABBREVIATIONS:
rnd: round
mr: magic ring
sc: single crochet
ch: chain
inc: 2 single crochet in same stitch
dec: single crochet decrease
sc3tog: single crochet 3 together
hdc: half double crochet stitch
dc: double crochet stitch
slst: slip stitch
flo: front loops only
blo: back loops only
*: repeat instructions “x” times
MATERIALS
YARNS – 50 g /120 m 100% cotton
Yellow : La Mia Cottony P18-L018
Brown : La Mia Cottony P23-L199
Green : La Mia Cottony P30
White : La Mia Cottony P1-L001
Pink : La Mia Cottony P13-L013
Fuchsia : La Mia Cottony P6-L006
Hook: 2 mm, Eyes: 7 mm, 2 little button
HEAD BAND
Sunflower: Begin with brown yarn.
At the end of the every round; join with a slst to first stitch and ch1.
Rnd 1- 8sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(8inc)=16sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*8=24sc
Rnd 4-(blo)=24sc
Rnd 5-(12dec)=12sc
Rnd 6-(6dec)=6sc finish off.
Now attach the yellow yarn on rnd 4 (blo stitches).
(1slst, ch 3, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook: 2hdc, 1slst )*24 finish off.
Dont forget, downside of flower will be the visible side.
Because this side looks more like a sunflower.
Leaves (x2) : Use green yarn.
Rnd 1- ch 7, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook: 1sc, 2hdc, 2dc, 6dc in one stitch, (don´t turn your work, crochet on the other side of the ch), 2dc, 2hdc, 1sc.
→Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
Use green yarn and ch 60 cut yarn long and with same yarn ch 40, cut yarn long.
Sew this two pieces opposite side of the sunflower.
Little sunflowers (x3): Begin brown yarn.
Rnd 1-5sc in a mr
Change yarn with yellow.
Rnd 2- (1slst, ch 3, 1slst)*5 →Break brown yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
Little Leaves (x2): Use green yarn.
Rnd 1- ch 4, insert hook in 2nd ch from
hook: 1slst, 1sc, 4hdc in one stitch, (don´t turn your work, crochet on the other side of the ch), 1sc, 1slst. →Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
SHOES (x2)
Use green yarn. At the end of each rnd
join with a slst to the first stitch and ch 1.
Rnd 1- 8sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(8inc)=16sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*8=24sc
Rnd 4-(blo)=24sc
Rnd 5=24sc
Rnd 6-(8sc,4dec,8sc)=20sc
Rnd 7=20sc finish it.
DRESS
Use brown yarn. At the end of each rnd ch1 and turn.
Rnd 1- ch 46, insert hook in 7th ch from hook: 40sc
Rnd 2- (1sc, 1inc)*2, 1sc, ch2 (skip 10sc), 1inc, 8sc, 1inc, ch2 (skip 10sc), (1sc1inc)*2, 1sc
Rnd 3=30sc
Rnd 4- (3sc in one stitch)*30=90sc
Rnd 5- ch5 and turn, insert hook in 6th stitch from hook: 90dc
Now dont turn back, join with a slst to your first stitch. Begin ch2 every round.
Rnd 6-9=90dc (4)
Rnd 10-(flo)=90dc
Rnd 11-12=90dc (2) finish off.
Attach yellow yarn to first stitch of dress and make (1slst, ch 3, 1slst)*40 finish it.
Attach yellow yarn on the rnd 10 inside of dress (flo round). At the end of each rnd join with a slst to the first stitch and ch 2.
Rnd 1-4=90dc (4) finish it.
MUZZLE
Use white yarn. At the end of the every
round; join with a slst to first stitch and ch1.
Rnd 1- 6sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(6inc)=12sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*6=18sc
Rnd 4-5=18sc (2) →Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
EARS (x2)
Use pink yarn.
Rnd 1- 6sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(6inc)=12sc
Change yarn with white.
Rnd 3=12sc
Rnd 4-(3sc1inc)*3=15sc
Rnd 5-(4sc1inc)*3=18sc
Rnd 6-(5sc1inc)*3=21sc
Rnd 7=21sc →Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
ARMS (x2)
Use white yarn. Stuff it in processing.
Rnd 1- 6sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(6inc)=12sc
Rnd 3=12sc
Rnd 4-(2dec,8sc)=10sc
Rnd 5-14=10sc (10)
Rnd 15-(1sc,1dec,7sc)=9sc
Rnd 16=9sc
Rnd 17-(1dec,7sc)=8sc
→ Folding two
pieces as trousers and crochet at the same time on both sides=4sc
TAIL
Begin pink yarn. Stuff it in processing.
Rnd 1- 7sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(7inc)=14sc
Rnd 3-5=14sc (3)
Rnd 6-(5sc1dec)*2=12sc Change yarn with white.
Rnd 7-9=12sc (3) dont stuff anymore.
Rnd 10-(2sc1dec)*3=9sc
Rnd 11-35=9sc (25) →Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
HEAD
Use white yarn.
Rnd 1-8sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(8inc)=16sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*8=24sc
Rnd 4-(3sc1inc)*6=30sc
Rnd 5-(4sc1inc)*6=36sc
Rnd 6-(5sc1inc)*6=42sc

→ Attact the eyes between 18 and 19
Rounds. Distance between the eyes 9 stitches.
When you doing that make sure that 9 stitches must be in the middle written with red.
Rnd 25-(8sc1dec)*6=54sc
Rnd 26-(7sc1dec)*6=48sc
Rnd 26-(6sc1dec)*6=42sc
Rnd 27-(5sc1dec)*6=36sc
Rnd 28-(4sc1dec)*6=30sc
Rnd 29-(3sc1dec)*6=24sc
Rnd 30-(2sc1dec)*6=18sc
→Break yarn and leave long enough thread for sewing.
→Cut long white yarn. Attach the yarn to near eyes (refer the photo). Then pull it strongly and knot. So you can have cute looking deep eyes.
LEGS and BODY
Use black yarn. Stuffed with wool in the process of crocheting.
First make left leg.
Rnd 1- 7sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(7inc)=14sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*7=21sc
Rnd 4-(blo)=21sc
Rnd 5-(3sc,7dec,4sc)=14sc
Rnd 6-(5sc,1dec,7sc)=13sc
Rnd 7-8=13sc (2)
Rnd 9-(2inc,11sc)=15sc
Rnd 10=15sc
Rnd 11-(1sc1inc)*2, 11sc=17sc
Rnd 12=17sc finish it.
Now make right leg.
Rnd 1- 7sc in a mr
Rnd 2-(7inc)=14sc
Rnd 3-(1sc1inc)*7=21sc

Rnd 18=40sc

Rnd 31=24sc stuff the body. In this round we will add the arms!
Rnd 32- 4sc, 4sc on the body and the arm at the same time, 8sc, 4sc on the body and the arm at the same time, 4sc on body.

Rnd 34-(2sc1dec)*6=18sc finish it.
ASSEMBLY (Refer to the photos)
Use fuchsia yarn for nose embroidery and use some black sewing yarn for other face ebroidery details.
